AfriPet Summit welcomes Petroleum Institute of East Africa as anchor partner
The Africa Petroleum Equipment Convention is pleased to welcome a key partner on board – the Petroleum Institute of East Africa (PIEA).
PIEA is a highly regarded, reputable membership institute which brings together the entire East Africa petroleum industry. It is the professional body for the oil and gas industry in the region.
The summit which will bring together leading international petroleum equipment manufacturers from across the world, got the nod of the respected and powerful regional body this June which over the years has provided a forum for expertise and excellence in the oil industry while promoting professionalism and free enterprise in the petroleum business.
The institute’s membership is a pool of regional and multinational petroleum giants, government petroleum agencies, petroleum entrepreneurs, associate organizations in the banking, power, finance, quality and transport sectors as well as individual professionals in the sector.
The 2018 AfriPet Convention will provide all stakeholders an extra-ordinary forum to engage and explore emerging solutions and trends in the business.
Confirming the partnership, PIEA General Manager, Ms Wanjiku Manyara noted that this is the ideal time to host a global petroleum equipment manufacturer event as the downstream sector has recently boomed and the region is set to become an oil producer and exporter.
“We are at that point when the East Africa petroleum sector couldn’t be more promising. Already, we have recorded consistent growth for the last 10 years. Without doubt, this global event is timely as it directly brings together all the key stakeholders in one forum,” she noted.
